The Ninty Times 12 Favorite Moments of 2014 [Number 12]: Reggie vs. Iwata

Were counting down our 12 favorite moments of 2014 here at The Ninty Times and to start of, we’re showcasing these two widely recognized figures at Nintendo. We start of with Reggie Fils-Aime vs Satoru Iwata. Both of these giants were bound to fight someday and why not settle tensions on Smash? Yes sir, not only did they do this during the E3 Nintendo Direct, but they also revealed Mii’s would be usable in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U and Amiibo’s could be used in the game. Our bodies weren’t ready for this announcement.

Reggie Fils-Aime says Wii U is a better value that Xbox One and PS4

The man behind the offices of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime has expressed his thoughts regarding Wii U, stating that it’s a mere better value than Xbox One and PS4, which are entering the first major non-launch holiday season.

The Wii U will have to fence both them off, since it’ll be entering it’s second holiday season in the market, with it’s rivals starting to deliver some impressive titles in the market. In a interview with Wall Street Journal, Reggie had a couple of words how Wii U is a better value this holiday season, with all the deals you can get with its impressive first party line of games.

“You wanna play these fantastic games, you want these fantastic experiences, these can only be found on Wii U”

The good news, for us, is that we’re presenting the best value right now in new home consoles. $299, includes two games; it’s a compelling proposition for consumers this holiday.

We convince them with the games. So as an example, you can only play Mario Kart 8 – this fabulous game that has sold millions of copies across the world – only on the Wii U because of the enhanced capabilities, the HD graphics, the new elements that we bring to bear for that particular game.

For us the message is simple; [if] you want to play these great games, you want to have these fantastic experiences, you have to upgrade to the Wii U.

And there it is, an excerpt of Reggie’s comments on why Wii U should be in you’re household, if it hasn’t yet. To watch the full interview, watch the video below.

How do you feel with the stance of Wii U? Are you satisfied with how the console has delivered with games? Let us know in the comment section below.

Reggie Fils-Aime body is ready to take over the Internet and Twitter

If you’re following the Nintendo of America Twitter account, you know sometimes they post some obscure things from really cheese Nintendo themed jokes to some pretty darn good looking screenshots to games, so you’re getting the (mostly) best of both worlds.

The account doesn’t plan to go any slower, since CEO of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime plans to manhandle the account tomorrow, November 12th. You can ask him questions by tweeting directly at the NoA Twitter account and using the hashtags #amiibo  or #SmashBros question using the hasthtag or simply RT for a diffrent answer. Here’s the possible answers Reggie plans on tackling tomorrow.

Many 3DS users either saw late last night or woke up to a blue light on their notifications screen, indicating somebody had arrived to their StreetPass Mii Plaza through SpotPass. Anxiously, users went on and saw the other that Reggie Fi… I mean, FILSAMECH. He’s a special Mii, meaning he’ll be extra helpful in games for your plaza. For example, in Puzzle Swap, he’ll let you select any piece, even pink pieces or in Warrior’s Way, he’ll give you 10,000 troops. Users are reporting receiving FILSAMECH in North America as of now. Seems like Europe might get Shibata at a later date? Just be sure have your body ready.
