Nintendo 3DS tops hardware charts for the month of September

The NPD game sales are in for the month for the month of September and Nintendo has seen a rather positive note, from their handheld and home console. The 3DS took the #1 spot, although it didn’t have many major releases in terms of software. Here’s the list of the software sales for the month of September

6:Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (PS3)

8:NHL 14 (360, PS3)
9:Minecraft (360)
10:Saints Row IV (360, PS3, PC)

When console, portable, and PC games are taken together, software sales amounted to $768.6 million.

Overall retail sales across hardware, software and accessories were up 27% versus September 2012, lifted by software sales of Grand Theft Auto V.+
