Amiibo Support Confirmed For Mario Sports Superstars


Just announced yesterday, Mario Sports Superstars will be launching for Nintendo 3DS next year. What wasn’t announced was the compatibility of amiibo within the game. Revealed through a screenshot, you’ll be able to scan amiibo cards within the NFC reader. How it will be able to be used within the game is still unknown.

Mario Sports Superstars Announced For 3DS

Mario and Co. return once again to the sports universe within the Mushroom Kingdom in Mario Sports Superstars. Only this time, you’ll have a wide variety of events to select from. From Soccer to Horseback Racing, the game won’t just feature bite-size experiences, it’ll immerse players with full-fledged experiences as mentioned in today’s Direct. You’ll be able to play multiplayer locally or online, as well as participate in tournaments. The game launches Spring 2017.

Mario Sports Superstars: This five-sport compilation is scheduled to launch next spring. The game includes full-fledged versions of baseball, tennis, golf, horse racing and 11-on-11 soccer games. The game includes single-player tournaments for each sport, plus local and online multiplayer modes.
