Nintendo Releases My Nintendo App in Japan, Which Allows You to Check Playtime From Older Consoles

The My Nintendo app is now available in Japan.

Nintendo has released the My Nintendo app in Japan exclusively on mobile devices. The app, as implied, allows you to access an array of Nintendo services from watching videos such as Nintendo Directs and purchase software for your Nintendo Switch with a tap of a finger!

Another really neat feature is the ability to check your total playtime for software across across not only the Switch, but the 3DS and Wii U as well. Of course, the data will only go back as far with the same Nintendo ID being connected on all devices.

At the moment, the app is only available in Japan for Android and Apple. We can only assume the app is releasing outside of Japan sooner rather than later. I’d really like to know how much time I’ve wasted on Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Mario Kart 8.
