Move over PlayStation, Nintendo has come for your crown.
There’s a new bestseller in Japan after a long regiment from Sony and a dreadful Microsoft appearance.
It’s official. The Nintendo Switch has managed to outsell the PS4 in Japan, despite the console being released three years later than the PS4. In the latest sales figures for Japan, the Switch managed to outsell the PS4 for the first time in history.
According to a report from Famitsu – the Switch has now sold 8,125,637 units, while the PS4 is at 8,077,756 units. Impressive for sure seeing the age gap.
Although the worldwide sales figures still reign with the PS4 with over a staggering 90 million, while the Switch is just short of 35 million.
While the lifespan for the PS4 comes to a horizon in the near future – will the Switch manage to outsell the PS4 in the next few years?
