After cracking a mystery in 2016, Detective Pikachu will be coming to the West later this year.
Nintendo has announced that the bizarre Detective Pikachu is having a release in the West after all. While the game released in Japan for the 3DS in 2016, the game finally debuts for the rest of the world later this Spring.
The whimsical talking Pikachu detective, alongside companion Tim Goodman, all while trying to gather clues and crack the mystery on how Tim’s dad went missing.
Nintendo has also announced a new Pikachu game-themed amiibo, which will boast quite the size compared to your average amiibo. Take a look for yourself, whippersnapper.
At the time of this writing, Walmart is currently the only NA major retailer that has them for pre-order at $29.99, since the figure is bigger, heavier, and more yellow than your normal amiibo.
As for the as the game; it’ll set you back at $39.99. At the time of this writing, you can pre-order a copy of the game at GameStop. Here’s a better look at the official NA boxart. The game will release on March 23rd, 2018 for the Nintendo 3DS.
Oh yeah let’s not forget the missing piece to the trifecta of announcements. The Pikachu New 2DS XL, which arrives onto store shelves and online beginning January 26th, 2018. You’ll be able to carry Pikachu on the go with you, wherever and whenever in your pocket, bag, or even Pokeball (sorry Ash).
