Japanese Console Market up 172% Thanks to the Nintendo Switch

The tidal effect of the Nintendo Switch in the territory has been huge for the console market. It’s caused the once thought-to-be dead console market to come into a huge resurgence.

Thanks to the Nintendo Switch, consoles sales are up by 172.9% in 2017, compared to 2016 in Japan. The fellow hybrid machine that allows you to dock in to your television or take it on the go has been quite the hit worldwide. The system soldĀ 3,407,158 units claiming first place, while the Playstation 4 soldĀ 1,935,247.

Have you took the chance and joined the Switch hype train as well? With so many great games that released in 2017, this year is setting up to be a special one as well, with a backlog of great title already available for new adopters.
