The Playstation 4 has now officially shipped more than 60 million units worldwide, according to Sony in their fourth quarter earnings report. Impressively enough, even to the point where they have grown with success in comparison to the last fiscal year.
For the full fiscal year (April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017), Sony shipped 20 million PS4 units, up. For comparison sake, they shipped 2.3 million last year in the same quarter while this year they shipped 2.9 million, with now more than 60 million units have been shipped since release.
Sony currently has the PS4, PS4 Slim, and PS4 Pro in the market with the addition of PSVR as key selling point. PS3 sold 80 million units over its lifetime. Will Playstation 4 be able to catch that? Only time will tell.
