Extravagant Fan Creates An Unofficially Awesome Custom Mewtwo amiibo

The amiibo craze has gone insane, wild, and fans have been excavating store shelves to get their hands on less common figures. In fact, it’s gone so far that it’s made a surge on people tackling their own amiibo projects, where they modify and even add/remove parts to currently existing amiibo figures. Take for example Custom Amiibo, a website that tackles these sort of projects and giving them more fan service. Crazy projects for the fans to say the least. An amiibo extravagant has taken it to the next level with the Mewtwo figure.

Totally unofficial, a enthusiastic amiibo fan has gone to make a Mewtwo figure from scratch and make it to a reality. In fact, at the time of this writing, the figure is currently at the price of $260, and you can keep bidding on the eBay page before time runs out.

Just exactly how is this a thing? According the eBay page from the user, he took the NFC chip from the Pokemon Rumble U Mewtwo figure and inserted it into the Mewtwo amiibo base, detecting it as the Pokemon Rumble U version. Take in mind, this will not work with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and will not unlock the future Mewtwo DLC. Don’t get your head caught up in the idea, as in fact, is an unofficial amiibo for the Super Smash Bros. set.

If you don’t have the money to fork over $200, might as well until an official one (hopefully!) releases. If you had the money to buy it, would you purchase it or would you rather buy less common figures from previous waves? Let us know in the comment section below on your thoughts!
