Time To Fire Up Your 3DS, Update 9.3.0-21 has now gone live

Nintendo has updated the 3DS with some nifty features, including a new way to glamour themes in the already-existing themes for the 3DS. Along with some stability for the hardware, as mentioned before, the themes have gotten a nice change for those who own more than one theme.

A new “Shuffle Favorites” feature has been included in the 9.3.0-21 update, changing the themes that have been purchased on the 3DS and switching themes every time a user puts the 3DS on Sleep Mode or shuts down the system off and turns it on again. This is especially nifty for users who like a change to the home menu every time they boot up to it. Another feature is that users can download software updates from the HOME menu, instead of opening the eShop and downloading from there. And for those who like sharing socially, you can now capture screenshots using both the top screen and the bottom screen. Pretty nifty huh? Check out below the official description provided by Nintendo.

  • A Shuffle Favorites feature has been added under Change Theme in HOME Menu Settings. Users can choose multiple themes and have their theme change when the system is left in Sleep Mode from the HOME Menu or turned on after being off
  • Available software updates can now be downloaded from the HOME Menu
  • Users can now capture screenshots with both the upper and lower screens included
  • Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience

Have you downloaded the latest 3DS update yet? If not, be sure to do it soon as possible, since you’ll need it to access apps such as the eShop.
