Comparing Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire boxart’s

With thereveal meant of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire yesterday, it would be good to compare and contrast the boxart’s of the original and the remake. Let’s see what the differences are:

Both each sport the same Pokemon in their packaging. Ruby still has Groudon while Sapphire has Kyogre. But there’s a notable difference. Did you see that Groudon and Kyorgre look rather strong? Could this be their Mega Evolution look? Or is it just to make the boxart look nice?

The backgrounds are also more vivid. Omega Ruby has a bright lava red and and Alpha Sapphire has a deep-blue ocean. It was most likely given this look for the color to attract the customers attention to it.

Thanks to the possibilities of the Internet, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will both support online play, as every main Pokemon game since Diamond and Pearl have done so. So expect new outcomes to happen. With each iteration on the DS, the Pokemon games seemed to push the hardwares limit and make the online functionality better every game.

Details are still fairly scarce, but a November release date isn’t so far, just 6 months of wait! Let’s hope the remakes won’t disappoint.
