Smash Bros update: 5-2-14 (New Assist Trophy)

It’s time to finalize the week with one last Smash Bros screenshot, this time concluding with the Wii U version. The screenshot shows us a new Assist Trophy, Dillon, from Dillon’s Rolling Western for the 3DS. He’s ready to catch those bad guys and tussle them up. He sports a new HD look with his body structure looking more realistic, thanks to the technological leap from the 3DS to the Wii U. Seeing that a character from a 3DS game made it as a Assist Trophy to the Wii U version, without a doubt, you can expect Dillon to also make an appearance in the 3DS version, which releases this Summer. Just look at Sonic, even he’s surprised the armadillo made it to the game! Here’s what Mr. Sakurai had to say on Miiverse for today’s screenshot:

Pic of the day. We didn’t introduce ALL of the Assist Trophies in the Smash Bros. Direct. Here’s Dillon from Dillon’s Rolling Western!! He may rival Sonic in the art of rolling.

Sakurai left us a bonus pic, showing how the trophy would look like when you’re not playing a match and you are in the trophy gallery. Here’s what Mr. Sakurai had to say on the zoomed out trophy appearance for Dillon;

Pic of the day. This is his trophy. He may be an animal, and his buckles are definitely on the adorable side, but there’s no denying he looks cool!! His Assist Trophy can even do things like a quick charge.
