Japan charts: Dragon Quest & 3DS snatch the top spot

Image Last week results for the sale of the week of 2/3/14 – 2/9/14 are in, provided by the Media Create Sales tracking. 2 new title proclaimed the top 2 spots. Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca’s Wonderful Mysterious Keys and Puyopuyo Tetris respectively took #1 and #2 spot. Kirby: Triple Deluxe is still selling fairly well in Japan, with it selling 417K in its lifetime in Japan. The smash-hit Puzzles & Dragons Z is still selling, with it being in the #6 spot. Other titles such as Pokemon X/Y and A Link Between Worlds are still hanging around the top 20’s. Here’s the complete top 20 list for software:

In the hardware compartment, the 3DS just keeps on selling and taking the #1 spot for 2014 and most of 2013.Combining the XL and original 3DS models, they sold a combined 48K units. The Wii U units sold week per week are diminishing in Japan each week, selling 7,180 units this week, compared to 2 weeks ago of 8,072. Here are the complete units sold week from 2/3/14 – 2/9/14:
