Nintendo’s anticipated update is now available to download on Nintendo 3DS. This update hauls in many features, most notable Miiverse, which is accessible on the 3DS for the first time on the hardware. At the time, you can only post on 3DS game communites, or on special communities, such as the Smash Bros and The Legend of Zelda series communities. When writing a post, you can write in text art or make a drawing.
•3 sizes of pencil: thin, thick, thickest
•3 sizes of eraser: thin, thick, thickest
You can also post in game photos as its Wii U counterpart. Some games that have communities are
•Super Mario 3D Land
•Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon
•Scribblenauts Unlimited: Unmasked
•Pokemon X and Y
•The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
•Mario Kart 7
And more communities are expected to launch later, when the game(s) release.
You can also give “Yeah’s” to others posts and report inappropriate content or spoilers.
Other non-Miiverse content that was also updated was in the HOME menu. Now to use the camera without launching the actual application, you must now press L+R, where previously it was just L or R.
And another big win for 3DS Special Edition buyers can now rejoice. The pesky transfer limit has been eliminated and now you can keep transfer you’re data without maxing out the limit.
If you’re a Wii U/3DS owner, the funds of you’re account function as one. In order for this to work, you must have BOTH account in the same NNID (Nintendo ID). If you don’t create/log in into a NNID, you will not be able to make purchases on the eShop.
